Following the recent outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), at Fairfield Care we have, as with many other suppliers and supermarkets, encountered issues with getting stock of many items such as hand sanitisers and surface cleaners. Unfortunately this is something that is out of our control, however we are doing all we can to get stock as quickly as possible and minimise issues with orders and our service to our customers.
With our Supply chain, we are continuing the supply of our products (continuity of supply is critical to our end user, and we are speaking regularly with our manufacturers and suppliers to help maintain our stock levels to reduce the risk of shortages). Products out of our control due to worldwide demand, (i.e. hand gel) unfortunately will be delayed, but orders can currently be placed on back order and will be despatched as soon as they come into stock. Unfortunately some suppliers cannot confirm that we will be able to get certain products (we have been informed that they are supplying the NHS as a first priority and we will get stock if and when it is available) and therefore we will not be accepting any back orders on these product.
Fairfield Care have planned/are planning (where possible) to keep stock shortage to a minimum, using alternative means of supply. Unfortunately this does mean that there may be a slight increase in price due to the manufacturers demand and price increase (which is out of our control), however, please be assured that we are doing everything we can to keep prices as they are/as low as possible.
Due to the amount of orders Vs the level of stock suppliers are delivering to us, we have decided to spread out what we do receive between all orders (up to a certain date) rather than fulfilling orders on a first come first served basis. This decision was made as we believe it would be morally wrong to leave many of our customers (who are care/nursing/residential homes, the young and the frail) without these important products. We know this is not ideal for many customers, however it has allowed us to ensure that all customers have at least 1 of the product ordered rather than go without.
With the large amount of orders we have it may take us a while to get in contact with every customer to update them on their order so we ask you to please be patient with us at this time.
Unfortunately there are many products that we are unable to obtain a delivery date for, so please keep an eye out for email updates on our products. We are chasing manufacturers and suppliers regularly to obtain dates as soon as possible.

As many places are starting to close due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we just wanted to let you know that we are still open to provide your home with as much support as possible!
We have had to make a few chages to the way we work to be able to cope with staff absenses, stock levels and order demands. Please pay attention to the following information.
Delivery timescale: You will be used to allocated delivery day or receiving your delivery the next working day, unfortunately we are unable to continue this for the forseeable future. Don't worry, your delivery will still reach you but this could take up to a week! We will be doing our best to get this out to you as soon as possible!
Delivery drops: To keep everybody safe and to reduce the risk of you, your residents or our drivers contracting the virus, we are no longer entering your home when making a deliery. We will be delivering you order to the front door, and to make things easier when signing the POD our drivers will be able to do this on your behalf.
Online ordering: Online ordering has been stopped for everyone. We ask that orders are placed via phone or email. You should have received an email of the process to follow if your group required order authorisation (please contact [email protected] if you have not). We have chosen to stop online ordering to allow us control over who we sell to and how much people can order, so that we have enough stock and can look after our dedicated customers as best as we can.
Order limits: With the stock shortages we are all facing, we do not want you or anyone else to go without so we will be limiting the amount you can order on certain products to make sure there is enough stock to go around.
Order allocation: For those products that are on back order, as we are oly receiving part of an order at a time, we are evenly distributing this stock across all orders to make sure everyone get something.
Alternative products: Where products are on a long lead time, have a smaller allocation than ordered, or are no longer available, we are attempting to source alternatives. In some cases the alternatives may be higher priced than what you paid previously but please be assured that we are doing all we can to get stock at the lowest price possble. We will be attempting to contact everyone who has been allocated an alternative product to inform them and check that they are happy with the new allocation.
We know this may not be ideal and we apologise for any inconvenience caused, however these changes allow us to support our customers needs the best during this challenging period.

We will only be attending your home if there are no cases or the Virus/no symptoms in the home. We must have this in written confirmation (in email form) before the visit, if we do not receive this then we will be unable to attend.
